IT Project Manager (1-Year Contract) - Insurance

Salary: 45000-55000 monthly

Our client, a leading insurance company in Hong Kong, is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support strategic technology initiatives and business transformation programs. This role will be responsible for managing end-to-end project delivery, partnering closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure successful implementation of enterprise-wide projects.This is an excellent opportunity for a project professional with strong insurance domain knowledge, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record in delivering technology solutions within a complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full project lifecycle from initiation, planning, execution, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
• Work closely with business users, senior management, and technical teams to gather requirements and define project scope.
• Drive project governance, monitor project progress, manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
• Prepare and present project status reports, steering committee materials, and management updates.
• Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines, budget, and quality standards.
• Facilitate stakeholder communications and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support digital transformation and business enhancement initiatives across insurance operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Engineering, or related disciplines from a reputable university.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience within IT projects, preferably gained in insurance, financial services, or related industries.
• Solid understanding of insurance business processes, systems, and operations.
• Proven experience managing multiple stakeholders across business and technology functions.
• Experience delivering application development, system implementation, digital transformation, or technology enhancement projects.
• Strong project management methodology knowledge (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at different levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent project management certification would be an advantage.
• Fluency in English is required; Cantonese and Mandarin would be advantageous.
