IT Project Manager (CCP for ICT Professionals)

Summary

Oversee IT projects from start to finish, coordinating teams and stakeholders to deliver software or digital solutions on time and within budget using Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, monitor, and successfully deliver IT projects from initiation to closure.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, business analysts, developers, QA teams, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and maintain project plans, schedules, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies), and status reports.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and project profitability where applicable.
  • Conduct project kickoff meetings, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, steering committee meetings, and project reviews.
  • Ensure timely communication of project status, risks, issues, and milestones to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate requirement clarification and manage scope changes through change control processes.
  • Ensure adherence to project management methodologies, quality standards, and organizational processes.
  • Support Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid project delivery methodologies based on project requirements.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment planning, and project handover activities.
  • Mentor junior project coordinators or associate project managers when required.
  • Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and recommending process enhancements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 4–7 years of experience in IT Project Management.
  • Proven experience managing software development, application implementation, or digital transformation projects.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello, or Monday.com.
  • Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities.
  • Experience in budget tracking, resource planning, and project reporting.
  • Strong documentation and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master (CSM/PSM), or equivalent certification.
  • Experience managing cloud, enterprise application, ERP, CRM, or digital transformation projects.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD environments.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed or offshore teams.
  • Knowledge of risk management, governance, and compliance practices.
