IT Project Manager

Salary: £70,000 - 85,000 per year

• Ideally 2-3 years experience gained in successful project implementation in a software delivery environment.
• Experience gained in the Financial Services sector is key for the role.
• Experience across the full project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure.
• PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner or recognised Project Management accreditation.
• Competent with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project 2010.
• Good commercial awareness of the marketplace.
• Experience delivering software change and technologies.
• Competent knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle.

• We work closely with external client Project Managers and stakeholders to understand business requirements and project scope.
• We lead Business Requirements gathering and workshops, ensuring completion of as-is and to-be documentation.
• We work with business analysts and developers to ensure that optimum fit solutions are designed and BRD and functional solution specifications are documented.
• We define Project Plans covering key deliverables, resource requirements, budget and work plan using appropriate tools and techniques.
• We advise the IT Programme and Project Manager of significant departures from the agreed plans.
• We work with the IT Programme and Project Manager and Head of IT to agree the scheduling of all development, testing and releases to production.
• We manage, monitor and motivate the cross functional teams assigned to the project.
• We ensure that defined governance processes are followed for the full project lifecycle through to testing and Live Installation.
