This position is in the Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO), under the Office of the Deputy Secretary of VA (DEPSECVA) where the incumbent serves as an IT Project Manager. This position will be physically located in a VA owned or leased office/space and require up to 75% official travel.

Major Duties: Initiates and manages IT projects as well as special technical studies related to executing the EHRM-IO mission. Projects cover a wide area of scope within EHRM workstreams including but not limited to deployments, new/enhanced solutions and capabilities/integrations, transition to sustainment projects, technical operations, domain operations, infrastructure. Coordinates and/or conducts presentations in long range and annual work planning and IT capabilities to advise on the proposed formulation, management and execution of program resources (personnel and funding) and other management matters through an understanding of requirements and policies based on capabilities and resources. Evaluates, monitors, or ensures compliance with Federal, VA laws and regulations, policies, standards, or procedures; Identifies standards or requirements for infrastructure, technical configuration or technical change management, Section 508 Accessibility compliance. Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Compressed/Flexible: Yes Telework: This position may be authorized for telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process. Some work will require walking and standing in conjunction with travel and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the work site. Some employees may carry light items, such as papers, books, or small parts. The work does not require any special physical effort. Work may require occasional travel.
