IT Project Manager for Task Management (part-time)
Summary
Part-time (3 days/week) IT Project Manager placement via consultancy emagine, onsite in Aarhus, to lead a 10-12 month Task Management digital transformation for a retail partner's Store Operations & Production team. Day-to-day work covers project planning, stakeholder and vendor management, governance, reporting, and delivery, using Jira and Confluence.
emagine is looking for an IT Project Manager for one of our key partners near Aarhus.
As an IT Project Manager for Task Management at our partner, you will work on a day-to-day basis within the Store Operations & Production product team, which owns and drives the project.
The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, product management, technology teams, and external vendors to ensure the successful implementation and long-term adoption of the Task Management platform.

Task Management is a digital transformation initiative that streamlines task planning, prioritization, and execution through an integrated solution combining standard and custom functionality, ensuring efficient task management and a consistent frontline user experience.
Overall assignment
· Digitalization of planning, prioritization and execution of operational tasks for frontline employees in retail stores.
· Improved operational efficiency and employee productivity, freeing up more time for customer-facing activities.
· Real-time task assignment and prioritization of both recurring tasks (automatically generated) and one-time tasks based on criticality and impact.
· Increased visibility for managers through real-time insights into task completion, progress tracking, and workload balancing.
· Support for operating models, business rules, compliance requirements, and legal obligations.
· A scalable foundation that enables future automation, intelligent task orchestration, and AI-driven optimization of store operations.
· A seamless and consistent user experience integrated into the existing store employee digital workplace.
Your responsibilities
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the professional and independent management of the project, ensuring delivery according to agreed scope, budget, and timeline.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Planning, structuring, and driving both project from planning through implementation.
· Break down high-level project plan into detailed execution plans for ensuring alignment across technical teams, business and Tech stakeholders, and external vendor.
· Managing stakeholders across units and coordinating with external vendor and their implementation team.
· Managing project governance, risks, reporting, and progress tracking.
· Keep the Steering Committee informed about project progress, financial status, and facilitate alignment on any high-level decisions that arise throughout the project.
Your skills
· +5 years' experience managing IT projects.
· Experience with leading development and implementation of software applications.
· Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders internal and external.
· Strong stakeholder management skills.
· Skills within Jira and Confluence.
