IT Project Manager
Salary: $100 – $135 per hour
IT Project Manager - Initial 3 month Contract (potential to extend or go permanent)
About the role:
We're working exclusively with a Fintech company based in the CBD, which is looking for a strong IT Project Manager to join the team on an implementation program.
Based in Auckland CBD, this role is pivotal in ensuring that our IT initiatives align with business objectives whilst maintaining the highest standards of project governance and delivery excellence. As an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring complex technology project, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
Key responsibilities
Planning, initiating and scoping IT projects with clear objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements
Developing comprehensive project plans, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies
Managing project budgets and ensuring cost-effective resource allocation throughout the project lifecycle
Leading project teams and coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
Monitoring project progress, tracking key performance indicators, and reporting on project status to senior leadership
Identifying and managing project risks, issues, and dependencies in a proactive manner
Implementing and maintaining project governance frameworks and processes
Ensuring quality assurance standards are met and project deliverables comply with organisational requirements
Facilitating communication between technical teams, business stakeholders, and project sponsors
Managing project scope, schedule, and resources to minimise delays and budget overruns
What we're looking for
Proven experience as an IT Project Manager with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role managing technology projects
We're looking for someone who is highly organised and who has experience within SaaS or Fintech
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum.
Relevant project management certification, such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
Experience with project management tools and software such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or Asana
Knowledge of IT governance, compliance, and security frameworks
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
