Project Manager - Mobility

12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Location: Townsville, with travel between Ingham and Sarina

Wilmar Sugar & Renewables is seeking a practical, delivery-focused Project Manager to lead the rollout of tablets across our Sugar mills. This is a hands-on role for someone who can coordinate people, technology, vendors and site activities to deliver a successful mobility rollout across multiple locations.

Role Overview: You will lead the mobility project to deploy tablets across our Sugar mills, working closely with site teams, IT, vendors and business stakeholders. The role will coordinate planning, site readiness, deployment, change activities, training and transition into business-as-usual support. Travel between Ingham and Sarina is required. You may also support other technology or business improvement projects as priorities evolve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end tablet rollout across Sugar mill locations, from planning and site readiness through deployment and handover.
• Develop and manage the project plan, schedule, budget, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Coordinate site teams, IT specialists, vendors and business stakeholders to keep delivery on track.
• Plan and oversee site visits, device deployment, communications, training and change activities.
• Provide clear project updates and escalate decisions, risks and roadblocks when required.
• Build strong working relationships with operational teams across the mills and support adoption of the new devices and mobile ways of working.
• Contribute to other technology and business improvement projects as needed.

Requirements:

• Experience delivering projects in a corporate, industrial or multi-site environment.
• Strong planning, coordination and stakeholder management skills, with a practical approach to getting work delivered.
• Confidence working directly with operational teams and managing competing site priorities.
• Willingness and ability to travel between Ingham and Sarina.
• Clear communication, sound judgement and the ability to identify and remove delivery roadblocks.
• Mobility, device rollout, frontline technology or change experience is highly regarded, but not essential.
• Formal project management qualifications are desirable but not essential. We welcome applications from capable Project Managers who are ready to step into a broader delivery role.
