HFM, an international multi-asset (FX/CFD) broker, is hiring an IT Project Manager in Kuala Lumpur to lead end-to-end delivery of IT initiatives across development, QA, DevOps, infrastructure, security, and trading platforms. Day to day the role involves planning, risk management, and stakeholder coordination using Jira and Confluence in an agile setting.

As we
continue to expand, we are seeking a driven and strategic IT Project Manager to
join our team. The successful candidate will understand how IT systems operate, communicate effectively with engineering teams, and manage complex cross-functional projects from planning through delivery.
You will collaborate with the Global PMO, Product Leads, and IT teams across Development, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, Security, and Trading Platforms to ensure projects are delivered with structure, clarity, and discipline.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of IT initiatives across infrastructure, platforms, software development, DevOps, and security.
- Define project scope, plans, timelines, dependencies, resources, and delivery expectations with technical teams.
- Translate business and technical requirements into clear, actionable project plans.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between IT teams, Product Owners, the Global PMO, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor progress, identify risks and blockers, and ensure timely escalation and mitigation.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, Jira structures, Confluence pages, workflows, and reports.
- Provide structured project updates to IT leadership, the Global PMO, and relevant stakeholders.
- Support agile delivery, process adherence, lessons learned, and continuous improvement of the IT delivery model.
Requirements
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of IT project management experience within an engineering or technical environment.
- Fluency in English; additional languages would be considered an advantage.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, infrastructure concepts, DevOps workflows, and QA processes.
- Hands-on experience with project management tools, including Jira and Confluence.
- Ability to understand and challenge technical requirements, architecture diagrams, dependencies, and delivery estimates.
- Strong analytical, organizational, stakeholder-management, and communication skills.
- Experience in the FX or fintech industry would be considered an advantage.
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum certification would be considered an advantage.
