IT Project Manager - Internal Digital Services
Please note that all applicants must currently be residing in the UK and be eligible for, or already hold, UKSV Security Clearance (SC) to be considered for this role.
We are seeking an organised and proactive IT focused Project Coordinator to support the coordination of internal technology, infrastructure, cyber security and business improvement activities.
This is an internal coordination and delivery support role, and the successful candidate will work closely with Digital Services leadership to coordinate priorities, maintain delivery oversight, support governance activities and ensure projects, operational initiatives and strategic objectives remain on track.
Acting as a central point across the team, you will help manage schedules, actions, reporting, meetings, documentation, governance processes and stakeholder engagement across a varied portfolio of digital initiatives.
Working alongside technical specialists, service owners, suppliers and senior stakeholders, you will play a key role in helping organise and coordinate the continual development of our secure Microsoft-based digital environment.
This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys bringing structure and organisation to a busy environment, excels at coordinating multiple activities simultaneously and takes pride in ensuring commitments are tracked through to completion.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and maintain delivery plans, action trackers, RAID logs, project documentation and implementation schedules.
Coordinate meetings, governance forums, steering groups and working sessions, ensuring actions and decisions are documented and tracked to completion.
Monitor progress across projects, operational initiatives and improvement activities, highlighting risks, delays or dependencies requiring management attention.
Produce management reports, dashboards, presentations and delivery updates for senior stakeholders.
Act as a central point of coordination between technical teams, business stakeholders, suppliers and operational teams.
Support resource planning, workload coordination and prioritisation activities across the Digital Services portfolio.
Assist with project mobilisation, planning, governance and reporting activities.
Coordinate supplier engagement, deliveries and implementation activities where required.
Maintain project repositories, documentation, knowledge bases and administrative records.
Support compliance, audit and information security activities by coordinating evidence gathering, actions and documentation.
Drive consistency and good practice across delivery, governance and reporting processes.
Track strategic objectives, operational commitments and improvement initiatives to ensure progress remains visible and accountable.
Previous experience in a Project Coordinator, PMO Analyst, Delivery Coordinator, Project Support Officer, Executive Assistant or similar coordination role.
Experience supporting technology, IT, digital or business change initiatives.
Excellent organisational, planning and administration skills.
Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
Experience maintaining project plans, action logs, RAID registers and governance documentation.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience producing reports, dashboards, presentations and management information.
Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
Strong Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Teams, SharePoint, Power BI, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to work within structured governance and security-conscious environments.
Desirable Skills
Experience supporting Digital, IT, Infrastructure, Cyber Security or Microsoft 365 programmes.
Experience working within Defence, Government or other highly regulated sectors.
Experience working with Project Online, Microsoft Project, Planner, Azure DevOps or similar tools.
Familiarity with ITIL, project governance or PMO environments.
Experience supporting operational service delivery teams.
Knowledge of ISO 27001, Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) or cyber security governance.
