IT Project Manager (Location: North)
Responsibilities
- Plan and manage system maintenance strategies, including renewals, technology refreshes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee system operations to ensure uptime, availability, performance and service quality.
- Develop and manage maintenance contracts, including SLAs, service requirements, penalties and renewal/exit provisions.
- Evaluate and manage service providers, ensuring delivery meets contractual requirements and agreed service levels.
- Manage vendor relationships, performance reviews, issue resolution and service improvements.
- Support Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises where required.
- Monitor system health, operational KPIs and maintenance effectiveness, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Manage project budgets, costs, change requests and forecasts to ensure delivery within budget.
- Identify and manage project risks, maintaining risk registers and escalating key issues where necessary.
- Coordinate project teams and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and timely delivery.
- Prepare project documentation, business cases, proposals, status reports and management papers.
- Maintain accurate records for contracts, procurement, invoices, project documentation and governance requirements.
- Work with technical teams on relevant applications, internal tools and CI/CD processes to support system operations.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in project management, preferably involving system maintenance, IT operations or technology projects.
- Experience managing vendors, maintenance contracts, SLAs and service delivery.
- Strong experience in budget, risk, stakeholder and project management.
- Good understanding of IT systems, applications and software development/CI/CD processes.
- Experience with procurement, contract management and service provider evaluation is preferred.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
