IT Project Manager - Manchester

Salary: £55,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience delivering technology projects within an IT services, infrastructure or managed services environment.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent customer-facing IT projects.
• Experience with IT infrastructure, cloud or managed services delivery.
• Strong project planning, governance, budgeting and risk management experience.
• Experience managing stakeholders across technical and business teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet or similar project management tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Desirable: PRINCE2, Agile, PMP or equivalent project management qualification.
• Desirable: Experience with data centre, hosting or cloud infrastructure projects.
• Desirable: Experience in VMware, Microsoft or Dell infrastructure environments.
• Desirable: Experience mentoring or managing junior project professionals.
• Desirable: Exposure to financial or project accounting systems such as Sage.

Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple IT infrastructure, cloud and technology projects from initiation through to successful delivery.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Produce and maintain detailed project plans, schedules and resource plans.
• Coordinate internal technical teams and third-party suppliers.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
• Identify, manage and mitigate project risks, issues and dependencies.
• Provide regular progress updates to senior stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement of project management processes and governance.
• Coach and mentor junior project managers and project coordinators where required.
