Summary
Oversee IT infrastructure and secure software projects for UK Defence, Aerospace, or Central Government, managing budgets, suppliers, and procurement under structured delivery frameworks.
Salary: £60,000 - 75,000 per year
Requirements:- We require 5+ years of experience leading complex IT infrastructure, secure software development, or enterprise systems integration projects, ideally within the UK Defence, Aerospace, or Central Government sectors.
- We require proven experience managing multi-million-pound budgets, tracking supplier performance, and handling complex public-sector or defence-framework procurement.
- We require deep practical knowledge of structured delivery frameworks such as PRINCE2, Agile, or hybrid models aligned with MoD project control processes.
- We require expert-level mastery of project tracking systems such as MS Project and Jira.
- We can only consider Sole British Nationals; dual citizens and candidates requiring visa sponsorship are not eligible.
- We require candidates to hold, or be fully eligible to obtain and maintain, Developed Vetting (DV) with no restrictive foreign connections.
- We will have you establish and enforce strict project baselines and manage scope creep, ensuring all changes are assessed for technical, financial, and security impacts.
- We will have you direct project burn rates, vendor Statements of Work (SOWs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to protect margins and maximize ROI.
- We will have you maintain accurate, audit-ready project plans, RAID logs, dependency maps, and technical requirements.
- We will have you audit technical deliverables against MoD acceptance criteria and identify, isolate, and mitigate delivery risks.
- We will have you translate engineering timelines, risk profiles, and commercial metrics into clear, data-backed reports for senior defence stakeholders and executive leadership.
