IT Project Manager (Material Handling FMCG)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead a critical, large-scale Material Handling and Warehouse Automation project. In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of complex supply chain technology solutions, ensuring seamless integration between automated hardware systems and our core enterprise software.

• Project Delivery: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT initiatives within a major material handling expansion, adhering to scope, budget, and timelines.

• Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with tier-1 automation vendors, software engineers, and internal supply chain leadership.

• System Integration: Oversee the integration of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) with Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) and automated hardware (e.g., AS/RS, conveyors, AGVs).

• Governance & Risk: Identify, mitigate, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies unique to industrial automation environments.

• Change Management: Partner with operations teams to ensure smooth transition-to-support and minimal disruption to live distribution center environments.

• Proven Experience: At least 5+ years of IT Project Management experience, specifically delivering material handling, logistics, or warehouse automation projects.

• Technical Literacy: Strong understanding of supply chain systems (WMS, ERP) and their integration with physical automation layers.

• Methodology: Proficiency in hybrid project management methodologies (Agile/Waterfall) suited for combined software and physical infrastructure deployments.

• Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical IT teams and industrial operations.

• 6 - 12 Month Project
• Day rate $750.00 per day + super
