IT Project Manager
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, practical, and results-driven IT Project Manager to lead technology and digital transformation initiatives in a fast-paced financial services environment. This role is accountable for turning business needs into clear, achievable delivery plans and driving projects from initiation through implementation and handover.
The successful candidate will work closely with business users, technology teams, corporate functions, vendors, partners, and regional stakeholders. The role requires sound knowledge of project delivery, SDLC, Agile and Waterfall methods, governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication. Experience in financial services, securities, or capital markets is a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end delivery of technology, infrastructure, regulatory, business, and digital transformation projects, from business case and planning through implementation, stabilization, and handover.
Translate business objectives into a clear project scope, practical delivery plan, milestones, budget, resource plan, governance structure, and measurable success criteria.
Select and apply the most suitable delivery approach—Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid—based on project complexity, risk, dependencies, and business needs.
Drive disciplined execution, maintain accurate plans and status, and ensure decisions, actions, risks, issues, dependencies, and changes have clear owners and due dates.
Ensure compliance with SDLC, architecture, cybersecurity, risk, compliance, procurement, finance, and IT governance requirements without creating unnecessary process overhead.
Coordinate cross-functional teams across Business, Development, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Procurement, and other corporate functions.
Manage vendors and partners effectively, including deliverables, timelines, quality, commercial commitments, dependencies, escalation, and acceptance.
Build constructive relationships with senior management, regional teams, business users, technical teams, vendors, and partners; communicate with the right level of detail for each audience.
Identify problems early, use logical analysis and sound judgement to assess options, and drive timely decisions and practical resolution.
Prepare concise, accurate management updates that clearly state progress, risks, decisions required, business impact, and next steps.
Take ownership of outcomes, follow through on commitments, and remain accountable through implementation, stabilization, handover, and benefits tracking.
Document lessons learned and continuously improve delivery practices, templates, controls, and ways of working.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience managing IT projects or digital transformation initiatives, with evidence of delivering projects through to implementation.
Strong working knowledge of SDLC, project governance, risk and issue management, change control, testing, implementation, and operational handover.
Practical experience using Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery methods and the judgement to choose the appropriate approach.
Experience working across business, technology, corporate functions, and external vendors or partners.
Strong planning and organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, dependencies, and deadlines.
Clear, concise, and audience-appropriate communication in both Thai and English, spoken and written.
Strong ownership, accountability, logical problem-solving, sound judgement, and willingness to learn unfamiliar business or technology topics quickly.
