About the Job
Our client is an established multinational IT consulting and business solutions provider. In line with regional business expansion, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their dedicated team stationed at client office in Kowloon. You will be responsible for leading and executing financial system development and rollout projects across the Asia-Pacific region, driving cross-border stakeholder alignment and ensuring seamless project delivery.
Job Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end financial system development and implementation projects across Asia from inception to rollout.
Formulate and monitor project baselines, including master schedules, WBS, resource allocation, and overall cost/budget control.
Proactively identify potential risks, evaluate project impacts, and formulate effective mitigation strategies.
Lead issue management, troubleshooting, and escalation procedures to resolve project roadblocks promptly.
Facilitate discussions, bridge communication gaps, and secure consensus among diverse cross-border business users and technical teams.
Oversee project deliverables in accordance with standard waterfall development lifecycle processes.
Coordinate short-term regional initiatives and support cross-functional project teams during implementation phases.
Requirements
Proven track record as an IT Project Manager; experience handling project budgets exceeding HKD 5 million and managing 30+ stakeholders is highly preferred.
Solid grasp of the waterfall development lifecycle and standard phase-by-phase deliverables (hands-on programming experience is not required).
Basic knowledge of the financial services sector; familiarity with securities or capital markets is an advantage.
Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and cross-cultural stakeholder management skills.
Fluent in English (mandatory); business-level Japanese ability is a strong asset.
Experience working in Japanese corporate environments or cross-border settings is a plus.
Willingness to undertake short regional business trips.
