IT Project Manager (SAP Focus)
Salary: RM 7,000 – RM 10,000 per month
About the Role
We are seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented IT Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of our core IT and SAP initiatives. In this key position, you will act as the bridge between internal business stakeholders, technical IT teams, and external service providers.
Beyond project delivery, you will ensure optimal SAP system health, user authorization governance, process optimization, and ongoing operational support—specifically focusing on modules such as SAP CPQ and SAP Project System (PS).
Key Responsibilities
1. IT & SAP Project LeadershipDrive end-to-end IT and SAP project lifecycles from initial scoping, requirements gathering, and planning through implementation, testing, and go-live.
Formulate detailed project plans, roadmaps, timelines, resource allocation, and milestone schedules.
Proactively monitor project progress, identify dependencies, manage risks, and execute effective mitigation strategies.
Maintain clear governance by delivering status reports, tracking issue logs, and managing stakeholder communication.
Lead cross-functional alignment between internal business units, technical teams, and third-party vendors.
Provide tier-2/tier-3 functional support to business users, driving swift resolution of system issues and requests.
Administer, maintain, and continuously optimize SAP modules, with a focused emphasis on SAP CPQ and SAP Project System (PS).
Oversee user access administration, role assignments, and authorization structures in strict compliance with internal control framework policies.
Facilitate system updates, unit/integration testing, and user acceptance validation (UAT) to safeguard business continuity.
Create and update comprehensive technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and end-user training guides.
Support internal and external SAP audit exercises by preparing system access logs, authorization matrices, and compliance documentation.
Conduct periodic reviews of user privileges to enforce Segregation of Duties (SoD) and internal risk controls.
Manage SAP license administration, including active monitoring of license utilization, user classification, and audit follow-up/remediation.
Job Requirements
Education & ExperienceEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Experience: 3-5+ years of proven experience managing IT projects and delivering SAP support/administration in a corporate environment.
Hands-on experience with SAP CPQ and/or SAP Project System (PS) is strongly preferred.
Solid understanding of end-to-end IT project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
Strong domain knowledge of core SAP architecture, user authorization management, and access control frameworks.
Familiarity with SAP licensing frameworks and audit/compliance requirements.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and modern project management/tracking software (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Asana).
Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical business leaders.
Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with a root-cause resolution approach to technical challenges.
Organization: Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize competing deadlines, and maintain strict accuracy under changing conditions.
