Project Manager and Service Delivery
A well established, tech business based in Kingston, Surrey are looking for a proactive, organised and delivery-focused IT Project & Service Delivery Manager to join their Technology Team.
This is a broad and highly visible role, responsible for bringing structure, governance and accountability to the delivery of IT and infrastructure projects, while also supporting effective technology service operations.
You will work across technical teams, business stakeholders, finance and third-party suppliers to ensure projects and operational activity are delivered in line with agreed scope, priorities, budgets, service requirements and business outcomes.
A key part of the role will be providing clear visibility of delivery health, operational risk, incidents, dependencies, supplier performance and financial position. You will be comfortable bringing structure to ambiguity, coordinating multiple workstreams and ensuring actions are owned and followed through to completion.
We are particularly interested in people who have a strong track record of managing complex IT projects and service operations within a structured or regulated environment, and who can build exceptional collaboration across organisational and technical boundaries.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Governance
- Manage the structured delivery of IT and infrastructure projects, translating business and technology priorities into clear, achievable project plans.
- Define and maintain milestones, risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies and key decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Establish effective delivery cadence across assigned projects and workstreams, including governance meetings, status reviews and stakeholder updates.
- Maintain robust project documentation, change control and audit-ready governance artefacts.
- Identify delivery risks and blockers early, driving appropriate actions and escalation to keep projects on track.
Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Own regular project and service reporting, providing clear and concise updates on progress, delivery confidence, RAID status, supplier activity, financial position, key decisions and required escalations.
- Maintain RAID logs and action trackers, ensuring risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies are clearly documented, owned, reviewed and actively managed.
- Develop clear “path to green” plans where delivery is off track or at risk.
- Work effectively with technical specialists, operational teams, business stakeholders, Finance and external suppliers to maintain alignment and resolve blockers.
- Facilitate meetings and discussions in a way that drives clear decisions, ownership and follow-through.
Financial & Supplier Management
- Support financial management across IT projects and technology services.
- Track budgets, forecast costs, monitor purchase orders, review invoices and provide visibility of supplier spend and variances.
- Coordinate internal and third-party delivery workstreams, ensuring supplier activity and technical dependencies remain aligned with agreed scope and commitments.
- Promote strong supplier accountability and ensure commercial and operational obligations are understood and managed.
Service & Incident Management
- Support technology service management activities and contribute to maintaining effective operational performance.
- Coordinate live incidents when required, ensuring clear communication, stakeholder updates and appropriate escalation.
- Support post-incident reviews, root cause follow-up and remediation tracking through to completion.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the technology service catalogue and associated service management processes.
- Help strengthen operational resilience, transparency, accountability and predictability across the Technology function.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement improvements to project delivery and service management ways of working.
- Help establish consistent, efficient and transparent delivery processes across the Technology Team.
- Embrace technology and AI-enabled tools to improve productivity, reporting, documentation and service management.
About You
You will be an experienced technology delivery professional who combines strong project management and governance skills with a practical understanding of IT service.
The salary on offer for this role is up to £70,000 plus bonus and benefits.
