IT QA Manager (Insurance)

Salary: RM 9,000 – RM 13,000 per month

About the role
We are looking for a QA Manager to lead software quality for insurance systems. You will run the QA team, set the test approach, and make sure releases are stable before they go live.

What you will do

1. Lead and guide a QA team of testers and test leads.

2. Plan and own the test strategy for each release.

3. Review test cases, test results, and defect reports.

4. Track defects from discovery to fix.

5. Work with developers, business analysts, and business users on UAT.

6. Improve QA processes and push for more test automation.

7. Report quality metrics to senior management.

8. Be the main QA contact for releases.

What you need

1. Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or similar.

2. At least 5 years of working experience in leading the QA Team.

3. Must have working experience in the insurance industry (life, general, or policy admin).

4. Strong knowledge of test methods and QA best practices.

5. Experience with both manual and automated testing.

6. Experience handling UAT with business users.

7. Good English. Bahasa Malaysia is a plus.

Nice to have

1. ISTQB certification.

2. Experience with Selenium, JIRA, or similar tools.

3. Knowledge of claims or policy systems.

4. Experience with regulatory or audit needs in insurance.
