Job Title: QA Analyst
SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Analyst with 4+ years of experience in both manual and automation testing, with strong expertise in web and API automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test scenarios to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of applications supporting the Investments business.
This role requires hands-on experience in creating automation frameworks and test scripts using WebDriverIO (preferred) or Playwright with TypeScript or JavaScript, along with strong manual testing capabilities. The candidate should be comfortable working independently in an Agile environment and actively participating in test estimation, planning, execution, and defect management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web and API applications using WebDriverIO (preferred) or Playwright with TypeScript or JavaScript.
Perform manual testing activities including test scenario creation, test case design, execution, exploratory testing, smoke testing, sanity testing, regression testing, and support for user acceptance testing whenever required.
Create and maintain automation coverage for functional, regression, and integration testing across web and API layers.
Validate APIs using tools and libraries such as Bruno/Postman and Axios/Supertest.
Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test cases.
Identify, log, track, and retest defects with clear supporting evidence and documentation.
Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure timely defect resolution and overall product quality.
Participate in sprint planning, story grooming, estimation, and other Agile ceremonies.
Execute end-to-end testing to ensure application stability, functionality, and business process alignment.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, test methodologies, and automation practices.
Support test data preparation, environment validation, and deployment verification activities as needed.
Report testing progress, quality status, risks, and issues to project stakeholders in a timely manner.
Work independently with minimal supervision while managing assigned testing tasks and timelines effectively.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
4+ years of relevant experience in manual and automation testing within the IT industry.
Strong hands-on experience in web automation testing using WebDriverIO (preferred) or Playwright with TS/JS.
Good experience in API testing and automation using Bruno/Postman and Axios/Supertest.
Strong understanding of software testing concepts, test life cycle, defect life cycle, and QA methodologies.
Experience in writing detailed test cases, test scenarios, and automation scripts based on business and functional requirements.
Hands-on experience in executing manual testing and automation testing across different test phases.
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Familiarity with GitHub Actions for test execution and CI/CD integration.
Good understanding of SQL for backend data validation and testing support.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
PREFERRED / NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:
Experience in the Investments domain.
Exposure to BDD/Cucumber framework.
Knowledge of performance testing using K6 and LoadRunner.
Experience in validating complex business workflows and integrated application landscapes.
Understanding of test automation best practices, reusable framework design, and continuous testing principles.
