IT Resident Engineer
Salary: RM 2,500 – RM 3,000 per month
We are seeking skilled and motivated IT Resident Engineer to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems, hardware, and software. You will work closely with end-users to ensure optimal system performance and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and related peripherals.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
Perform regular system updates, security patches, and antivirus maintenance.
Provide on-site and remote technical support to end-users.
Backup and restore data as needed.
Assist in setting up and maintaining network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi).
Document technical issues, resolutions, and asset inventory.
Advise on hardware and software upgrades to improve system performance.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience in IT support or technical support is an added advantage.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP).
Experience with computer hardware repair and component replacement.
Familiarity with helpdesk ticketing systems is an added advantage.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Willing to travel within short notice
Willing to work outside normal office hours when required.
Possess own transport and valid driving license is an added advantage.

Preferred Skills (Optional)
Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
Familiarity with basic cybersecurity practices.
Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as Hyper‑V or VMware.
Experience supporting Active Directory and shared network resources.
