Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and business-oriented SAP Engineer to serve as the key liaison between local business stakeholders and the global IT Business Applications team. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering and translating business requirements, supporting SAP users, driving process standardization, and ensuring the effective adoption of SAP best practices across the organization.
As the local SAP expert, you will provide first-level support, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, deliver user training, and contribute to continuous process improvements. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with multiple SAP modules (preferably including PP), strong analytical and communication skills, and thrives in an intercultural environment.
Tasks:
- Requirement management:
1. Collect, clarify, document, and coordinate business requirements with IT Business Applications.
2. Process-driven mindset: Promote process-oriented thinking and ensure solutions support end-to-end process quality.
3. SAP standard advocacy: Represent and defend SAP standard solutions and best practices; challenge non-standard requests constructively.
4. 1st-level support: Provide first-line support for SAP users in the local organization; triage issues and escalate appropriately.
5. On-site training: Plan and deliver classroom/on-the-job SAP trainings on site (Taiwan).
6. Stakeholder alignment: Maintain regular coordination with IT Business Applications with a strong cadence, at least twice per week, including an intercultural exchange on initiatives, changes, and projects.
7. Documentation: Create and maintain user documentation, process descriptions, and training materials.
8. External vendor coordination: Coordinate external service providers/consultants (e.g., Westernacher and others), including scope clarification and follow-up.
