IT Scrum Master
Summary
Facilitates Agile ceremonies, coaches cross-functional teams, and removes blockers to ensure smooth delivery of software projects using Scrum/Kanban and tools like Jira.
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced IT Scrum Master to facilitate Agile practices, support cross-functional teams, and ensure effective delivery of technology projects. The ideal candidate should have strong communication, analytical, stakeholder-management, and Agile facilitation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, QA, and other stakeholders.
- Support teams in defining, refining, prioritizing, and managing User Stories and Product Backlogs.
- Identify and remove impediments that may impact sprint or project delivery.
- Promote Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement across teams.
- Track sprint progress, team metrics, dependencies, and delivery risks.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand software development processes and project lifecycles.
- Facilitate effective communication between technical and business stakeholders.
- Use Jira or similar Agile project-management tools to manage backlogs, sprints, and reporting.
- Support a multicultural and bilingual working environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience as an IT Scrum Master, Business Analyst, Agile Facilitator, or similar Agile role.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum, and Kanban.
- Hands-on experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and managing sprint activities.
- Experience working with User Stories, Product Backlog, Backlog Refinement, and Acceptance Criteria.
- Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and technology environments.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience with Jira or similar Agile tools.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and engineering teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- PSM, CSM, or similar Agile certification is preferred.
- Willingness to work on-site in Bangalore Urban.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and bilingual environment.
