IT Security Analyst

Clients send us board papers, salary data and acquisition plans, and more of their contracts now ask how we protect that information. Wert Group needs an IT Security Analyst to watch our systems for threats and keep our security controls ready for those questions. It is a full-time role, done remotely from any place in Germany.
To do this well you need:

- A degree in computer science or IT, or vocational training as Fachinformatiker
- A year or more in IT security, IT operations or a security operations center, including internships.
- Windows, Microsoft 365 and networking basics

Here is what the work looks like.

- Review alerts from Microsoft Defender and our SIEM and follow up on suspicious activity
- Track vulnerabilities and patch status across laptops, servers and cloud services
- Check access rights and multi-factor authentication settings every quarter
- Answer client security questionnaires with the right evidence
- Keep our ISO 27001 documentation, risk register and policies current
- Run phishing simulations and short security sessions for employees

You will work alongside our systems administrator and cloud engineer and report to our head of technology.
It also helps to have:

- Microsoft Sentinel or another SIEM
- Knowledge of ISO 27001 or BSI IT-Grundschutz
- CompTIA Security+ or a similar certification
