Job Summary:

The IT Systems Engineer will work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to support the successful delivery of IT projects within the agreed timeline, cost and scope. The role involves system setup, infrastructure deployment, database management, network configuration, system integration and technical troubleshooting

Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to support project delivery and fulfilment of contract requirements

• Manage project documentation and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors

• Perform system setup, database setup and system configuration

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical, system and design-related issues

• Support IT infrastructure including Microsoft Windows operating systems and Windows servers

• Configure and perform basic troubleshooting of network switches and network devices

• Perform network checks, IP address configuration and connectivity troubleshooting

• Install, configure, debug and troubleshoot IT systems and related equipment

• Set up database clusters and support data backup and recovery processes

• Support data migration, data integration and data monitoring activities

• Implement appropriate data security and personal data protection measures

• Support system and architecture design and prepare professional technical documentation

• Analyze tender requirements and provide technical support for tender submissions

• Support certification and key management activities

• Support infrastructure common services including Active Directory, NMS, ClearPass, MFA/2FA, eG, KMS, AntiVirus, Patch Management and MDM

• Support system integration and conduct UAT, FAT and SAT activities

• Support system deployment, staging, testing and production environment setup

• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors and vendors to resolve project and technical issues

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems or equivalent

• Experience in IT management system deployment or related IT project implementation

• Proficient in database management, networking, Microsoft Windows OS and Windows servers

• Good understanding of system and infrastructure architecture

• Experience in database clustering, data backup and recovery processes

• Experience in data migration, data integration and data monitoring

• Knowledge of data security and personal data protection

• Ability to prepare clear and professional technical documentation

• Experience in analysing tender requirements and supporting tender submissions

• Knowledge of certification management and key management

• Familiarity with Active Directory, NMS, ClearPass, MFA/2FA, eG, KMS, AntiVirus, Patch Management and MDM

• Experience in system integration and UAT, FAT and SAT

• Understanding of system deployment, staging, testing and production setup procedures

• Knowledge of SQL Management Studio and database tables will be an advantage

• Knowledge of vulnerability assessment and VAPT tools will be an advantage

• Basic understanding of software development will be an advantage

• Knowledge of access control systems such as key management systems, CCTV, card readers and gantries will be an advantage

• Knowledge of redundancy technologies such as failover clustering and NIC teaming will be an advantage
