Position Overview
The Senior Solutions Architect is a customer-facing pre-sales technical professional responsible for designing and recommending enterprise IT solutions that align with clients' business objectives. Working closely with sales teams, customers, and technology partners, this role provides expertise in data center, cloud, networking, virtualization, storage, and security solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with excellent communication and consultative skills to help customers modernize and optimize their IT environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives to identify, develop, and close customer opportunities.
- Conduct technical discovery sessions to assess customer environments, requirements, and business goals.
- Design and recommend enterprise infrastructure solutions, including compute, storage, networking, virtualization, cloud, and security technologies.
- Develop and present technical proposals, solution designs, and Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Deliver customer presentations, demonstrations, and whiteboard sessions to communicate solution value and business benefits.
- Provide technology roadmaps, strategic recommendations, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and professional services teams to ensure successful solution implementation.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendor partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and maintain applicable vendor certifications.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure, solutions architecture, systems engineering, or a related field.
- Experience designing and supporting data center, cloud, networking, virtualization, and storage solutions.
- Experience creating quotes, proposals, and Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Strong technical knowledge of enterprise technologies, including platforms such as HPE, Dell, Lenovo, Cisco, VMware, Microsoft, and Aruba.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to translate technical solutions into business value for customers and executive stakeholders.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, VCP, VMware, Microsoft, Aruba, HPE, Dell, or similar) preferred.
