Position Summary
The IT Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and network issues for Windows-based computers and servers. This role is on-site at the client location. Provides assistance and training to users as needed to ensure they can operate system effectively. On-call as needed to assist with issues, outages and other items. Attends staff meetings, takes notes on IT related issues and works with AME or follows up on items.
Key Responsibilities
- Focal point for on-site IT related issues, tracks issues, and provides updates to staff; project oversight of all items IT related.
- Diagnose and repair Windows desktops, laptops, and servers (Windows Server 2022/2025)
- Perform routine maintenance including updates, patching, and system health checks
- Manage printers and lease agreements with vendors for printers, copiers, other devices
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 issues
- Respond to support tickets and provide timely resolution to end-user issues
- Install, configure, and deploy hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Document all service activity, solutions, and client interactions in the ticketing and documentation systems
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding of users and devices
- Manage on site PBX and telecommunication systems.
- Support cybersecurity best practices including endpoint protection
- Interact with Site employees and residents
- Audio and Visual support with projectors, large screen systems, sound systems.
Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
