IT Software Asset Manager
You lead functional management of ServiceNow Technology Asset Management, oversee software lifecycle data quality, and govern standardized IT asset processes. You maintain discovery data, CMDB workflows and configurations, reporting and dashboards, incident support, process improvements, and ITAM system integrations.
Responsibilities
- Manage ServiceNow Technology Asset Management and software lifecycle processes
- Ensure ServiceNow hardware and software discovery data is accurate and current
- Develop and maintain ITAM data quality processes in the ServiceNow CMDB
- Develop and maintain ServiceNow Catalog Items, workflows, and HAM Pro and SAM Pro configurations
- Prepare ServiceNow and Power BI reports and dashboards on asset status, usage trends, and risks
- Support incident response and troubleshooting for asset issues
- Implement process improvements for asset management
- Manage the IBM License Metric Tool and its integration with ITAM systems
Requirements
- Eight to ten or more years of experience in ServiceNow IT Hardware and Software Asset Management, CMDB Data Management, and ITIL activities
- At least four years of Software Asset Management experience, preferably including ServiceNow SAM Pro process and workflow development
- At least four years of ServiceNow platform administration, management, configuration, development, integration, upgrades, and continuous improvement
- Understanding of the ServiceNow Data Model, ITAM lifecycle processes, procurement, reporting, discovery, and tracking
- Expertise in ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB, SAM Pro, and HAM Pro
- Understanding of ServiceNow Software Reconciliation, CSDM, and flow and workflow creation
- IT Asset Management or Software Asset Management Implementer certification or similar
- Ability to translate ITAM requirements into ServiceNow designs and solutions
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline, or equivalent education and experience
