IT Software Engineer (Insurance Sector/Contract Role)
Summary
18-month contract IT Software Engineer for an insurance-sector client: build and maintain in-house .NET/C# applications with SQL Server, manage integrations across Finance, Claims, Investment and Reinsurance, and handle support, vendor coordination and small projects.
Salary: $7,000 – $8,000 per month

Our client in the insurance sector is seeking an experienced IT Software Engineer to develop, enhance and support business applications. Reporting to the Head of IT, you will work closely with business users and vendors to deliver solutions across Finance, Claims, Investment and Reinsurance.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain in-house applications and system interfaces using .NET, C# and SQL Server.
Gather business requirements, assess system impacts and prepare functional and technical specifications.
Provide hands-on application and database support, troubleshoot issues and improve system performance.
Manage integrations between core business applications, including Finance and Reinsurance systems.
Evaluate vendor solutions and coordinate application enhancements, change requests and implementation.
Manage small to medium-sized projects from requirements gathering through testing, user training and deployment.
Work with infrastructure and security teams to ensure solutions meet application security standards and applicable MAS Technology Risk Management guidelines.
Maintain clear system documentation and follow software development best practices.
Requirements
5–10 years of hands-on experience in software development and application, system and database support.
Strong programming skills in .NET, C#, full-stack web development, SOAP and API development.
Solid knowledge of SQL programming and Microsoft SQL Server, including database queries and troubleshooting.
Experience supporting multiple business applications and managing system integrations.
Ability to translate business needs into practical technical solutions and manage projects independently.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, documentation and problem-solving skills.
Experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry would be advantageous.
