IT SOFTWARE ENGINEER

About the role

An IT Software Engineer role focused on translating business requirements into well-architected solutions, identifying manual processes and engineering scalable automation including AI agents and LLM-powered workflows. You will design, develop, and maintain internal web applications end-to-end with seamless integration into existing platforms, build and maintain internal tools and integrations on top of LLM APIs and AI platforms, architect and maintain a hybrid environment spanning on-premises servers and multi-cloud workloads, and uphold a high standard of service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions; identify manual processes and engineer scalable automation - including AI agents and LLM-powered workflows - to eliminate them
• Design, develop, and maintain internal web applications end-to-end, with seamless integration into existing platforms, using AI-assisted development tooling to accelerate delivery across the stack
• Build and maintain internal tools and integrations on top of LLM APIs and AI platforms; continuously evaluate emerging AI capabilities and embed them into engineering and business workflows
• Architect and maintain a hybrid environment spanning on-premises servers and multi-cloud workloads (Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud); ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of all core IT systems
• Own database design, maintenance, and performance optimization across production environments
• Embed security-by-design across systems; maintain a robust security baseline and contribute to ongoing security-hardening initiatives
• Uphold a high standard of service delivery, ensuring users are well-supported and issues resolved promptly and professionally
• Provide clear, timely reporting to business stakeholders and maintain effective coordination with the parent company in Shanghai, including regular Chinese-language communication

About you

• 3-5 years of experience in IT & full-stack web development
• Fluency with AI development tooling (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) and a proven track record of leveraging it to materially accelerate delivery
• Hands-on experience building with AI - integrating AI into applications, automations, or internal tools - and a strong grasp of how to apply AI effectively and securely in production
• Strong full-stack development capability in TypeScript/JavaScript (Node.js) and a modern front-end framework such as React; working knowledge of PHP is advantageous
• A solid command of database design and performance optimization (e.g., MySQL)
• A strong understanding of cloud platforms (Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud) alongside physical server configuration
• A comprehensive grasp of cyber-security principles and secure-by-design practice, including vulnerability and patch management
• An industry-recognized security certification (CISSP, CISA, or equivalent) is highly regarded
• Professional fluency in both English and Chinese, given the requirement for communication with the Shanghai-based parent company
• A mature, meticulous, proactive, and resourceful disposition, with genuine commitment to both operational excellence and building
