Serve as a project leader or consultant involved with all phases of the life cycle of a major financial automated information system.

Provides technical guidance, assists in determining priorities, ensures adequacy of project plans; and the analysis, design, testing, debugging, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of software and systems.

Uses in-depth analysis to identify the size and scope of problems or new approaches being investigated. Coordinates maintenance and support activities of a major financial automated information system.

Briefs management on strategies to be used to exploit and implement new developments and advanced techniques in the area of software design and maintenance.

Ensures provision of adequate technical support of the major finance and/or accounting automated information systems. Ensures proper oversight of configuration management control procedures.
