IT SPECIALIST (APPSW)

You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (APPSW) in the Rapid Mission Integration & Interoperability Department (MX), Expeditionary C3 & Cyber Division (MXL), Tactical Communications Branch (MXLS) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $138,370).

You will serve as the Lead Project and Cybersecurity Administration and serve as the primary project administrator and cybersecurity specialist for ACAT I major automated information systems.

You will own and maintain the cybersecurity posture of critical tactical systems and balance programmatic requirements and constraints with operational needs.

You will be responsible for vulnerability and code assessments by utilizing industry-standard tools to rigorously assess security control implementation and validate source code integrity.

You will provide strategic recommendations and deliver technically advanced actionable recommendations to continuously enhance and mature the security posture of tactical networks.
