IT Specialist - Bristol

The Catholic Diocese of Richmond is seeking a part-time Information Technology Specialist to provide hands-on technology support to Catholic schools and parishes in the Bristol, VA area. This position will serve as the local IT resource for issues that require on-site assistance, while working closely with the Diocese’s central IT team for additional support and direction.

The position is expected to work approximately 7–14 hours per week, generally 1–2 days per week. The schedule can be somewhat flexible based on the needs of the locations and the individual.

The ideal candidate should have:

• General experience supporting computers and common office technology.
• Basic understanding of computer networking and Wi-Fi.
• Familiarity with Windows; experience with macOS and ChromeOS is helpful.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace.
• Comfortable troubleshooting technology and working directly with non-technical users.
• Able to work independently and know when to involve the central IT team.
• Previous professional IT experience is preferred but not required. Someone with strong technical skills looking for part-time work or a side position would also be considered.
• IT certifications such as CompTIA are a plus but not required.
