About the Role
AMA Computer College Inc. is seeking a dedicated IT Specialist cum Lab Tech - DAIAA Bulacan to join our team in Plaridel, Bulacan. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining and supporting our educational technology infrastructure and laboratory environments. As an IT Specialist cum Lab Tech, you will be responsible for ensuring that our computer systems, networks, and laboratory equipment operate efficiently to support our students' learning experience. This role is essential to the college's mission of delivering quality technology education and maintaining a robust digital learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and networking equipment across the college's laboratories and facilities
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for staff, faculty, and students experiencing IT-related issues
Manage and maintain laboratory environments, ensuring all equipment is in working order and properly inventoried
Monitor network performance and security, implementing necessary updates and patches to systems
Perform regular backups of critical data and maintain disaster recovery protocols
Assist in the setup and supervision of laboratory sessions to ensure smooth operations
Document technical issues, resolutions, and maintain comprehensive records of IT assets and maintenance activities
Collaborate with other IT team members to implement technology solutions that enhance educational delivery
Conduct basic user training on software and hardware utilization for staff and students
Respond promptly to urgent technical issues and maintain high levels of system availability
What We're Looking For
Certification or qualification in Information Technology, Systems Administration, or a related field (CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certifications preferred)
Proven experience in networks and systems administration with at least 2-3 years in an educational or corporate IT environment
Strong technical knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
Experience with network configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance
Proficiency in hardware installation, repair, and maintenance
Familiarity with laboratory equipment and educational technology systems
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as within a team
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
Knowledge of IT security best practices and data protection protocols
Willingness to support educational initiatives and contribute to student learning outcomes
