IT Specialist (INFOSEC/CONMON)

This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Intelligence & Analysis (I&A). The primary purpose of this position is ito define and manage the implementation of continuous monitoring security requirements for information systems used to share and protect sensitive and classified national security information exchanged between Federal, state, local, tribal, and private sector partners over DHS networks. Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.

As a IT Specialist (INFOSEC/CONMON), GS-2210-14, your typical work assignments may include: Manages, leads, or oversees teams of contractor and government personnel in a matrix environment to achieve optimal solutions. Analyzes DHS, DNI and other Federal information security policies and standards and determines applicability to I&A intelligence requirements and systems. Identifies solutions to Cybersecurity continuous monitoring requirements, applying the appropriate mixture of technology, policy, and procedures to create the optimal solution. Prepares briefings, documents and other forms of communication to present solutions to authorizing officials. Develops short and long-range plans for the continuous monitoring program that anticipate, identify, evaluate, mitigate, and minimize risk associated with IT systems vulnerabilities.
