IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)

You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the CYBER SECURITY (N00CS), EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT, NAVY CYBER DEFENSE OPERATIONS COMMAND (NCDOC).

You will be responsible for the administration of the Command’s CWF Program, which promotes the professional development and qualification of employees who carry out cybersecurity responsibilities.

You will ensure that the Command is following the Cyber IT/ CWF Tracking, training, qualification and reporting responsibilities.

You will coordinate with internal and external subject mater experts to ensure existing qualification standards reflect organizational functional requirements and meet industry standards.

You will implement and manage local manpower, personnel, and qualification data element standards to support command-level cyber workforce management and reporting requirements.

You will assist the Command Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) in implementing and sustaining the Information Systems Security Program.

You will perform appropriate monitoring and scanning of network resources, utilizing approved DoD scanning and security tools to ensure the network is being used IAW applicable DoD and DON directives.

You will interpret scan results of the network infrastructure; conduct reviews and assessments to identify vulnerabilities, confirm compliance; and recommends correction action to the supervisor via reports on findings.
