IT Specialist (Network Services)

This vacancy is for an IT Specialist (Network Services) position in the Office of the Chief Information Officer located at the Bureau of Economic Analysis. This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other IT Specialist (Network Services), ZP-2210-4, positions within the Bureau of Economic Analysis in the same geographical location with the same qualifications and specialized experience.

Provides administration and ongoing design, engineering, and support of BEA’s network infrastructure, including Cisco-based on-premises networks (e.g., routers, switches, wireless technologies) and Microsoft Azure cloud networking solutions.

Provides administration and support of Cisco Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) phone systems, Microsoft Teams Phone functionality, and network security and logging applications.

Maintains IT security and network documentation and supports implementation of federal IT security laws, regulations, standards, and guidelines, ensuring timely remediation of critical compliance findings identified during annual audits.
