IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN)

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN), Position Description Number D2583P01 and is part of the CO JFHQ G6, National Guard. The primary purpose of this position is to provide management oversight and guidance on information technology projects.

Serves as primary point of contact for all project teams regarding on-going technical projects. Assists in IM/IT portfolio project management, integration, coordination and planning. Implements corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policy in the development of the projects and intermediate products in support of the mission. Within this portfolio, integrates IM/IT project scope and criteria, schedules and milestones, budgets, and responsibilities of the participating parties, assumptions and risks, contingencies, and performance measurement criteria. Analyzes information systems requirements or environment. Integrates the planning, design, implementation, etc., for multiple IM/IT projects of considerable scope and complexity as measured by their program authorizations, diversity, geographical area, management demands, technical intricacies, and various customers. Monitors and reports on IM/IT portfolio and project milestones and budgets from preliminary assessments, full integration, and through to initial operations. Performs other duties as assigned.
