IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN)
This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA-IMPLEMENTATION & INSTALLATION DIV.
Develops integrated information requirements and integrated architecture, configurations, policies, procedures, plans and programs, and budget.
Develops and maintains comprehensive strategic plans, assesses policy needs and develops policies to govern IT activities, provides policy guidance to IT management, staff, and customers, and prepares IT budgets.
Identifies and addresses IT workforce planning and management issues.
Researches and studies reports and technical journals to determine and keep abreast of state-of-the-art information systems technology and trends which influence revision or development of new communication and automation techniques.
Maintains agency policy, directives, procedures, and related material for many conventional information management systems and programs.
Supports requirements for the information management area of communications, visual information, data management and automation.
