IT Specialist
This position serves as the primary on-site IT resource and is responsible for maintaining reliable and secure technology operations across the facility. The successful candidate will provide help desk support, administer Microsoft 365 and Windows Server environments, maintain network and security infrastructure, support ERP systems, and ensure the availability of critical manufacturing technology. This role requires a hands-on professional who can troubleshoot issues independently, communicate effectively with end users, and manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
End User Support
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop and laptop computers
- Deploy and maintain Windows workstations
- Create and manage user accounts and permissions
- Support printers, scanners, mobile devices, and other peripherals
- Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation
Microsoft 365 & Identity Management
- Administer Microsoft 365 environment
- Manage Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
- Administer Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID
- Maintain user security groups and access permissions
- Support multi-factor authentication and account security
Infrastructure Administration
- Support Windows Server environments
- Administer Hyper-V virtual infrastructure
- Monitor system performance and availability
- Manage backups and disaster recovery processes
- Maintain server and infrastructure documentation
Network Administration
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues
- Support switches, wireless networks, and internet connectivity
- Maintain network documentation and diagrams
- Assist with network improvements and upgrades
- Monitor network performance and security
Security & Compliance
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices
- Monitor endpoint protection and security alerts
- Participate in vulnerability remediation efforts
- Assist with security awareness initiatives
- Support incident response and recovery activities
Manufacturing Systems Support
- Support ERP software and related business applications
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve application issues
- Support production floor technology and connected systems
- Maintain uptime of critical manufacturing systems
Physical Security & Communications
- Support camera surveillance systems
- Maintain door access control systems
- Support phone systems and related communications technologies
Required
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
3+ years of IT support experience
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration
Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID
Experience supporting Windows desktop and server environments
Experience with Hyper-V virtualization
Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and switching
Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Valid driver's license
Preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience supporting ERP systems
Experience with cybersecurity tools and best practices
Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
Familiarity with surveillance and access control systems
Experience with PowerShell scripting
