About the role
We are looking for an IT Specialist to configure and maintain computers and hardware across our distributed sensor installations. You’ll solve hardware, networking, and Windows administration challenges while keeping mission-critical systems running smoothly.
This is a hybrid role requiring on-site availability in Bydgoszcz within 60 minutes when needed.
Your responsibilities:
- Prepare, configure, and test computers and supporting hardware for distributed sensor installations.
- Install and maintain Windows systems, drivers, applications, and updates.
- Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, network, and connectivity issues remotely and on-site.
- Support network and remote-access configurations.
- Maintain technical documentation, configuration records, and test results.
- Support user accounts, permissions, backups, and routine IT operations.
- Contribute to process improvements and basic automation initiatives.
- Participate in local work in Bydgoszcz and occasional business trips of up to 4–5 days supporting sensor deployment and maintenance.
- Support infrastructure in colocation and secondary locations (Toruń, Zielonka, Bydgoszcz).
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, field service, or a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with Windows 10/11 and/or Windows Server administration.
- Practical knowledge of PC/server hardware, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, routing).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with technical documentation and standardized procedures.
- Good command of English for working with technical documentation.
- Ability to reach the Bydgoszcz office within approximately 60 minutes when required.
- Availability for occasional business trips (up to 4–5 days).
- Category B driving licence.
Nice to have:
- Experience with MikroTik RouterOS or network device configuration.
- PowerShell or other scripting/automation skills.
- Linux/Ubuntu administration experience.
- Experience supporting remote or distributed installations.
- Knowledge of storage, backup, monitoring, UPS/PDU, or IPMI solutions.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, or Intune/MDM.
- Knowledge of German

- Compensation: PLN 7,000-10,000 gross/month employment contract (UoP), depending on experience and skills.
