IT Specialist (SYSADMIN/INFOSEC)

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the PROFESSIONAL Work Category at the EXPERT Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA FE/IT Services Division.

Engineers and implements complex cloud solutions within Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS), actively deploying and managing container orchestration platforms.

Studies, reviews, and analyzes DISA’s current IT plans and operations to determine current and future information systems requirements

Identifies new approaches, emerging information technologies, and/or applications for utilization at DISA.

Develops, analyzes, evaluates, and identifies problems or areas where service improvements can be made. Develops IT studies to address problems and measure productivity.
