IT Support & Administration Officer

Natures Cargo, an award-winning, family-owned and operated wholesale foodservice distribution company, has been a leader in the foodservice industry for over 40 years. Established in 1986, the business has grown from its humble beginnings to become one of Victoria’s leading foodservice distributors. With three distribution centres in Ballarat, Thomastown, and Traralgon, we proudly serve foodservice outlets across Metro and Regional Victoria.

Our extensive product range includes over 7,500 frozen, refrigerated, and dry goods sourced from more than 500 trusted suppliers. We provide a wide variety of food, beverages, and other essential products to restaurants, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, hotels, pubs, clubs, cafes, and all other food establishments.

Natures Cargo is seeking a people-focused IT Support & Administration Officer to join our team. You will be a trusted support person to our employees, someone who is approachable, collaborative, and passionate about helping others.

Key Responsibilities

· Act as the routine contact point, receiving and handling requests for IT support.

· Escalate complex or unresolved incidents or requests to the IT Lead.

· Demonstrate an understanding of high-quality data practices and comply with individual logon, access control and data security requirements for information systems.

· Manage the setup and configuration of laptops, mobile devices and user accounts for staff.

· Support onboarding and offboarding processes from a tech setup perspective.

· Maintain IT asset registers, ensuring equipment is tracked and labelled.

· Assist with software updates, patching and system maintenance across the business.

· Support the rollout of new internal tools or platforms.

· Contribute to training, documentation and knowledge-sharing for internal stakeholders.

· Provide friendly, professional support to colleagues across all departments.

· Provide additional administrative support across internal teams as required.

To be successful in this position, you will possess the following skills & experience

Essential

· Previous experience in an IT support, helpdesk or systems administration role.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.

· Confidence using Microsoft 365, with exposure to Pronto and SQL highly regarded.

· A proactive, team-focused approach and willingness to support others.

· Sound understanding of AI tools and their practical use in an IT role.

Desirable

· Experience within foodservice, wholesale distribution, or food manufacturing.

· Knowledge of computer networking and user administration within a Microsoft Entra environment.

· Minimum of 5 years' experience in IT support role.
