About the Role
As a Factory Information System (FIS) Line Support Engineer, you will be part of a global support team responsible for ensuring seamless manufacturing operations by providing first-level technical support. The role involves monitoring factory line systems, troubleshooting incidents, maintaining machine connectivity, managing data transfers, and coordinating with global teams to ensure system availability and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 operational support for factory systems.
- Handle service requests and incidents through established processes.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and application issues.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate teams.
- Maintain accurate incident and service request records.
- Support information security compliance and operational standards.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
Required Skills
- Basic IT troubleshooting (hardware, software, networking)
- Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.)
- Understanding of IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN
- Windows OS support and remote troubleshooting
- Good communication skills in English
- Willingness to work in a rotational 24/7 shift environment
- Customer-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
- MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) experience
- Basic SQL/database troubleshooting
- Monitoring tools such as Splunk, Nagios, or Zabbix
- Windows Server/Linux administration fundamentals
- ITIL knowledge
- PowerShell or Python scripting
