IT Support Engineer

What you’ll be doing:
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical support requests created by our customers
- Contributing to internal documentation that provides your team with the resources they need to perform in their role and external documentation that allows our customers to self-serve
- Consistently achieve or exceed qualified monthly quotas
- Other job-related duties as assigned
- Answering pre-sales technical questions through ticketing helpdesk and live chat
- Monitoring network, server performance, and uptime
- Preparing and stress testing new servers
- Purchasing and sourcing for server equipment
- Friendly customer service
- Experience troubleshooting basic and advanced Linux and Windows Server issues
- Understanding of object-oriented software engineering
- Knowledge of Linux server administration
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a high degree of autonomy
- Growth mindset, with an unrelenting focus on continuously improving your knowledge and skillset
- Outstanding problem-solving skill, results-driven approach to execution, and a can-do attitude
- Solid understanding of the hosting industry preferably
- You love digging into customer use cases and thinking deeply about how to help customers succeed
- Detail-oriented and extremely organized with an ability to multi-task & prioritize tasks
- Bringing a high-energy, positive mindset every day which embodies our principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Familiarity with php, mysql, wordpress, linux and windows server management and troubleshooting
- Motivation to meet and surpass goals
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
