About the role

We are seeking an IT Support / EUC professional to join our team on a contract basis in Brisbane, Queensland. The ideal candidate will provide essential support for end-user computing and desktop environments, ensuring smooth operations and high levels of user satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive desktop and end-user computing support, primarily focusing on hardware and software troubleshooting to resolve user issues effectively.
  • Manage break-fix tasks for various IT equipment, ensuring timely restoration of services for both hardware and software components.
  • Provide IMAC (Installation, Moves, Additions, Changes) and desk-side support to facilitate seamless user experiences while optimizing resource management.
  • Utilize ServiceNow and other IT Service Management (ITSM) tools to log incidents, manage service requests, and maintain accurate records of support activities.
  • Conduct user account management tasks through Active Directory, including provisioning and de-provisioning of user accounts.
  • Support remote users with connectivity issues, VPN access, and mobile device management to ensure they remain productive outside of the office environment.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of desktop support principles, including hands-on experience with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficiency in hardware and software troubleshooting, with a strong focus on break-fix capabilities across various devices, including PCs and peripherals.
  • Familiarity with remote support tools to assist users efficiently, regardless of their physical location.
  • Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and methodologies to streamline IT service management processes and enhance service delivery.
  • Experience providing smart hands and feet support, demonstrating the ability to assist with installations and physical tasks on-site.
  • Capability to support a variety of devices, including Macs and tablets, to address the diverse needs of our end users.

Nice to have

  • Certification in ITIL, CompTIA A+, or similar credentials that demonstrate a commitment to professional development in IT service management.
  • Experience with mobile device support, including troubleshooting issues related to smartphones and tablets.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals to assist users with connectivity issues and basic networking troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of endpoint security practices and tools to ensure devices remain secure and compliant with company policies.
  • Experience in environments utilizing ticketing systems for incident resolution and support tracking.
