IT Support
Responsibilities
1. Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide first-level support for hardware, software, email, and network-related issues.
- Diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral problems.
- Install and configure computers, operating systems, and office applications.
- Support remote users and project sites when required.
2. Software Installation & Maintenance
- Install, configure, and update software applications.
- Ensure software licensing compliance.
- Perform regular maintenance and updates for IT equipment.
- Assist with operating system upgrades and patches.
3. Network & System Support
- Monitor LAN and internet connectivity.
- Troubleshoot network issues to minimize downtime.
- Assist in maintaining servers, Wi-Fi, and network equipment.
- Support implementation of cybersecurity measures.
4. IT Asset & Vendor Management
- Coordinate procurement of IT equipment and software.
- Maintain inventory records of IT assets.
- Liaise with vendors for repairs, maintenance, and warranty claims.
- Coordinate disposal of obsolete IT equipment through approved e-waste vendors.
5. User Support & Training
- Provide IT guidance and user support to employees.
- Create user guides and simple documentation.
- Conduct basic user training on company IT systems and applications.
6. Documentation
- Record support tickets and resolutions.
- Maintain IT documentation and asset records.
- Assist in preparing IT reports as required.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT support role, preferably in a construction or related industry.
- Basic knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN) and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with hardware setup, software installation, and system maintenance.
- Familiarity with e-waste management practices is an advantage.
