IT Support Manager & AI Backend Developer

A hybrid role split 50/50 between IT support management and backend development for AI applications. The person manages hardware inventory, troubleshoots Windows/macOS, and administers Azure cloud while building backend systems for in-house AI initiatives using Python or similar languages.
My client is a leading player in the digital supply chain space and, on their behalf, we are seeking a versatile technology professional to join their team in a unique hybrid position split 50/50 between IT support management and backend development for AI applications.
This is a hands-on role with no direct reports — you'll be the go-to person keeping their technology running smoothly while also building the backend systems that power their in-house AI initiatives.
Salary range HKD 45,000 - HKD 60,000 per month depending upon experience
Role:
IT Support (50%):
- Provide general IT support for both local and overseas offices
- Manage IT inventory, including hardware tracking and procurement
- Maintain and troubleshoot systems across Windows and macOS environments
- Support cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure
- Design, build, and maintain backend code for AI applications
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Ensure systems are reliable, secure, and scalable
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in IT support and/or software development
- Solid experience with both Windows and Mac OS
- Azure cloud knowledge (administration and/or deployment)
- Backend development skills — Fairly language agnostic but Python would be useful
- A proactive personality — you spot issues before they become problems
- Fluent English required; fluent Cantonese will be advantageous
