IT Support Officer
IT Support Officer
Banks Benchtops
About the Role
We're looking for a motivated junior IT professional to join our team across Banks Benchtops — growing Queensland-based stonemasonry businesses sharing a fast-paced, multi-site IT environment.
Based at our Arundel (Gold Coast) office, you'll work directly alongside the IT Manager to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly while getting genuine exposure to a broad range of systems, infrastructure projects, and business integrations. AI tools are increasingly central to how we work, and this role will actively contribute to how we adopt and integrate them. This is a hands-on role that will grow with you.
What You'll Do
Provide first and second-level IT support to staff across our five sites (Arundel, Brendale, Archerfield, Rocklea)
Set up, configure, and troubleshoot Windows PCs, laptops, iOS devices, and printers
Support and maintain our Microsoft 365 environment (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)
Assist with device management via Zoho Endpoint Central MDM
Help manage user accounts, access controls, and onboarding/offboarding in Entra ID
Assist with monitoring email security, responding to phishing reports, and managing quarantine queues
Contribute to IT projects including CRM integrations, workflow automation, and SharePoint development
Assist in evaluating, deploying, and supporting AI tools and assistants across the business
Help research and test AI integrations that improve team productivity and automate repetitive workflows
Maintain IT documentation, asset registers, and support tickets
Liaise with vendors and third-party support contacts as required
Support and troubleshoot hardware and software across desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
Assist users remotely, resolving issues efficiently without always being on-site
Provide support and gain exposure to CRM platforms (HubSpot, Cin7, Salesforce, or similar)
Support networking and server infrastructure as required
Provide support for industry software such as AutoCAD, SECAD, or similar design/manufacturing tools
What We're Looking For
Essential:
A genuine interest in IT — whether from study, self-teaching, or hands-on experience
Minimum 1-2 years of practical IT experience required
Solid understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 basics
Experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, SharePoint, Entra ID)
Hands-on experience with AI tools — LLMs, AI assistants, prompt engineering, or local AI deployments (e.g. Ollama, OpenAI API, Claude)
Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude when supporting staff
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges
Full working rights in Australia
Desirable (not required):
Familiarity with mobile device management (MDM) platforms
Exposure to Power Automate, SharePoint, or similar tools
Understanding of email security concepts (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
Any experience with HubSpot, Xero, or ERP/CRM systems
Interest in agentic AI workflows, automation, or integrating AI into business processes
Familiarity or experience working in a construction or manufacturing company
Relevant IT qualifications (Industry Certificates or equivalent)
What We Offer
A real IT role with genuine variety — no two days are the same
Direct mentorship from an experienced IT Manager across a broad tech stack
Exposure to Microsoft 365, cloud infrastructure, CRM platforms, Power Automate, AI tools, and more
Supportive team culture across a well-established, privately owned business group
Opportunity to grow into a senior IT role as the business scales
Gold Coast-based role — Arundel office with occasional site travel
