About Supacat
Supacat is an innovative engineering company operating primarily in the Defence sector with a growing footprint in other industries. Our core business is ultra-high mobility, wheeled vehicles and we are the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of a range of vehicles from 450kg to 12T GVM which are currently in service with the Australian and NZ Army. We also apply our skills to other areas, such as working with Defence primes on large programs and consulting into the automotive industry.

About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused IT Support Officer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career IT professional who is passionate about technology, enjoys helping people, and is looking to build experience across IT support, systems administration, cybersecurity, and business applications.
You will work closely with experienced team members to support users, maintain business systems, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This role provides exposure to modern technologies including Microsoft 365, cloud services, cybersecurity platforms, engineering applications, and enterprise business systems.
Key Responsibilities
User Support & Service Delivery
· Provide Level 1 IT support to users both onsite and remotely.
· Assist users with hardware, software, mobile device, printing, connectivity, and account access issues.
· Log, track, and resolve support requests through the IT service management process.
· Escalate complex issues to senior IT personnel or external vendors where required.
· Support the setup, installation, and configuration of desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, and mobile devices.
· Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, including user account setup and access management.
Systems & Infrastructure Support
· Assist with the administration of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and device management platforms.
· Support software installations, upgrades, system updates, and security patching activities.
· Assist with maintaining IT assets, software licensing records, and technical documentation.
· Support endpoint security, backup systems, and cybersecurity initiatives under the guidance of senior staff.
· Participate in routine system checks, maintenance activities, and technology improvements.
Business Systems & Engineering Support
· Provide basic support for business applications and ERP systems.
· Assist Engineering teams with user support for Teamcenter, SolidWorks PDM, CAD-related applications, and other engineering technologies.
· Provide user guidance and technology training where required.
· Assist with technology procurement, equipment preparation, and vendor coordination activities.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
· Follow company security policies, procedures, and best practices.
· Promote cybersecurity awareness and safe technology use throughout the organisation.
· Report security concerns or incidents promptly to senior IT personnel.
About You
You are eager to learn, possess strong problem-solving skills, and enjoy delivering excellent customer service. You take initiative, communicate effectively, and have a genuine interest in developing your technical capabilities.
Essential Requirements
· Qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline, or currently studying toward one.
· Have, or have the ability to gain, an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
· Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
· Knowledge of computer hardware, software installation, and troubleshooting concepts.
· Good communication and customer service skills.
· Strong willingness to learn new technologies and business systems.
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
