IT Support Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive, technically skilled, and customer-focused IT Support Officer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing first-line technical support, maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, networks, and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and application problems promptly.
Monitor and maintain the organization's network infrastructure and internet connectivity.
Manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
Install software updates, antivirus solutions, and security patches.
Perform routine system backups and assist with data recovery when required.
Maintain accurate records of IT assets, support requests, and resolutions.
Support users with Microsoft Office applications and other business software.
Liaise with external vendors for equipment maintenance and procurement when necessary.
Ensure compliance with the organization's IT policies and information security standards.
Perform any other duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in an IT support role.
Good knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, networking, and hardware troubleshooting.
Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, CCTV systems, IP telephony, and basic server administration will be an added advantage.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Professional IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco) will be an added advantage.
